    Multi BAR: Rate Type

    Setup a Multi BAR Rate Type in RMS.

    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following:

    1. Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.
    2. Select 'Rates'.
    3. Select 'Rate Types'.
    4. Select 'Add'.
    5. Enter the Rate Code.
    6. Select a Rate Structure.
    7. Enter the Rate Type Description.
    8. Enter a Charge Description.
    9. Select the additional Rate Type Options.
    10. Select the checkbox 'Best Available Rate'.
    11. Enter a Long Description.
    12. Select & Enter the Rate Availability.
    13. Save/Next.
    14. Select the Rate Type Access and choose 'Apply'.
    15. Repeat Steps 4-14 for all Price Points.
    16. Save/Exit.

    Multiple Best Available Rates is an option available in RMS to preset multiple price points for the Best Available Rate and toggle between them as needed. 

    Multi BAR can be used to simplify seasonal rate setup and streamline ongoing rate adjustments. 

    Preset price points can be selected for any date range and changed as the needs of the business change.


    Setup a Rate Table and Rate Lookup for each Best Available Rate Type to make them available for use.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.

    Select 'Rates'.

    Select 'Rate Types'.

    Select 'Add' to create a new Rate Type.

    Enter the Rate Code.

    Select a Rate Structure.

    Enter the Rate Type Description.

    Enter a Charge Description.

    Select the additional Rate Type Options.

    Select the checkbox 'Best Available Rate'.

    Enter a Long Description.

    Select & Enter the Rate Availability.

    Select 'Save/Next' to store the changes made.

    Select the Rate Type Access and choose 'Apply'.

    Repeat Steps 4-14 for all Price Points.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

    Setup a Rate Table and Rate Lookup for each Best Available Rate Type to make them available for use.
