    Members Only Rate Type

    Setup a Members Only Rate Type in RMS.

    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following:

    1. Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.
    2. Select 'Rates'.
    3. Select 'Rate Types'.
    4. Select 'Add'.
    5. Enter a Code.
    6. Select a Rate Structure.
    7. Enter a Rate Type Description.
    8. Enter a Rate Charge Description.
    9. Optional: Select a Discount.
    10. Optional: Select a Colour.
    11. Enter a Long Description.
    12. Select the checkbox 'Only Available to Members'.
    13. Select a Cancellation Policy.
    14. Select the Rate Availability.
    15. Optional: Enter Length of Stay Restrictions.
    16. Save/Exit.
    17. Select the Rate Type Access and choose 'Apply'.

    The Rate Type is the charge description or charge type that identifies a particular set of pricing.   

    Use the Members Only option to create rates that only become available for guests with valid membership details.

    Setup a Rate Period, Rate Table and Rate Lookup to make this Rate Type available for selection on a reservation or use the New Rate Wizard.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.

    Select 'Rates'.

    Select 'Rate Types'.

    Select 'Add' to create a new Rate Type.

    Enter a Code.

    Select a Rate Structure.

    Enter a Rate Type Description.

    Enter a Rate Charge Description.

    Optional: Select a Discount.

    Optional: Select a Colour.

    Enter a Long Description.

    Select the checkbox 'Only Available to Members'.

    Select a Cancellation Policy.

    Select the Rate Availability.

    Optional: Enter Length of Stay Restrictions.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

    Select the Rate Type Access and choose 'Apply'.

    Setup a Rate PeriodRate Table and Rate Lookup to make this Rate Type available for selection on a reservation or use the New Rate Wizard.
