    Incorrect Connection Information in Channel Mapping

    Information on receiving Quote Reservations due to incorrect Connection Information in RMS.

    When connecting to an OTA for the very first time in RMS the property must enter the Connection Information that RMS then uses to correspond with that particular OTA for updates of rates and availability.

    If this Connection Information changes it must be updated in RMS to prevent updates of rates and inventory from failing to send.

    When the Connection Information becomes out of date this does not prevent the delivery of reservations from certain Online Travel Agents but it does prevent RMS from maintaining up to date rate and availability information for that connection.

    This can cause a reservation to be accepted by the Online Travel Agent and delivered to RMS when there is no longer the availability in RMS to accommodate.
