    Information on Payment Gateways available for connecting with RMS.

    Payment Gateways are an eCommerce application provided by merchant services to authorise and process credit card payments in a PCI compliant manner.

    Connecting a Payment Gateway account with RMS provides secure credit card storage, payment processing and refunds directly from an account in RMS.

    Information

    Payment Gateways are an eCommerce application provided by merchant services to authorise and process credit card payments in a PCI compliant  manner.

    Connecting a Payment Gateway account with RMS provides secure credit card storage, payment processing and refunds directly from an account in RMS.

    Payment Gateways cannot be used in the RMS Training Database.



    Properties must contact their merchant to enable eCommerce and sign up for an account with their chosen Payment Gateway provider before setting up the connection in RMS.

    No Payment Gateway

    Payment Gateways are the PCI compliant method for securely storing credit card information and securely processing payments or refunds using that credit card information.

    Not using a Payment Gateway and choosing to expose credit card information on the Guest Profile instead of a secure and encrypted Credit Card Token is not PCI complaint.



    To enable a secure credit card storage and processing system in line with PCI Compliance Standards outlined by PCISSC properties will need to use a Payment Gateway.



    Existing Merchant Facility

    Properties can use their existing merchant facility if it is enabled for eCommerce.

    eCommerce is required to utilise tokenisation through a Payment Gateway in RMS.

    Contact the Merchant Services department of the property's bank for more information.

    Pre-Authorisation

    The ability to perform a pre-auth on a credit card in RMS is determined by the selected Payment Gateway provider.

    Pre-Authorisation is available with most of the currently available eCommerce Payment Gateways available for connection with RMS.

    Transaction Fees

    Transaction Fees charged by the Payment Gateway provider apply to credit card transactions processed using eCommerce in RMS.

    Credit Card payments processed using the EFTPOS terminal will incur the standard transaction fees by the merchant bank.

    Incidentals & Damages

    Charges for incidentals or damages after the guest has departed can be processed securely using the Credit Card Token and eCommerce payments through the Payment Gateway provider.
