    Transaction Created vs Posted Date

Information on the difference between Created & Posted dates in RMS.

    Transaction Posted Date

The Transaction Posted Date is the Accounting Date applicable to the transaction created on the account in RMS.

The Posted Date is generally the current Accounting Date with the exception of transactions created for future dates.

Accommodation charges created on the Reservation Account prior to the reservation's Arrival Date will create with the Posted Date of the Arrival Date, the applicable Accounting Date for that revenue.

    Transaction Created Date

The Transaction Created Date is the system date the transaction is placed onto the account in RMS.

Unlike the Posted Date, the Created Date is always the actual date at the time the transaction goes onto the account in RMS.

Accommodation charges created on the Reservation Account prior to the reservation's Arrival Date will display the Posted Date of the Arrival Date on the account whilst reflecting the current date as the Created Date for the transaction.
