      Windcave Transaction Fees

      Setup using transaction fees from Windcave in RMS.

      Windcave includes the ability to send transaction fee information to RMS when processing a payment.

      Information

      Windcave is a Payment Gateway available in RMS to provide PCI Compliant credit card storage and payment processing.

      Transaction fees or surcharges incurred for using a particular card type will be calculated by and processed in Windcave when using this option.

      Users will be prompted with the option to skip charging the transaction fee on configured Windcave EFTPOS terminals.


      Credit Cards in RMS must be setup with the same transaction fees set in Windcave or accounts will become out of balance.

      Setup

      1. Contact the Property's Windcave Account Manager.
        1. Request activation of Surcharges for PXPAY & EFTPOS.
        2. Provide Station Number for all connected EFTPOS terminals.
        3. Setup the Transaction Fees with Windcave.
      2. Go to Setup > Accounting > Credit Cards in RMS.
        1. Select the 'Edit' icon on an existing Credit Card.
        2. Navigate to the 'Transaction Fees' tab.
        3. Select an existing Transaction Fee and choose 'Edit'.
        4. Enter the Merchant Fee to match Windcave.
        5. Optional: Enter the Gateway Transaction Fee.
        6. Save/Exit.
        7. Repeat for all Credit Cards.
      3. Go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information in RMS.
      4. Select the 'Edit' icon on an existing Property.
      5. Navigate to the 'Payment Gateway' tab. 
        1. Ecommerce: Select the checkbox 'Use Credit Card Fees from Windcave'.
        2. EFTPOS: Select the checkbox 'Use Credt Card Fees from Windcave'.
      6. Save/Exit.

      Select the 'Edit' icon on an existing Property.

      Navigate to the 'Payment Gateway' tab.

      Ecommerce: Select the checkbox 'Use Credit Card Fees from Windcave'.

      EFTPOS: Select the checkbox 'Use Credt Card Fees from Windcave'.

      Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made and leave the setup.

      Processing a card payment via Windcave will display and use the transaction fee setup with Windcave to calculate the surcharge and the Transaction Fee setup in RMS to create the charge on the account.
