    Enter utility meter reads and process charges in RMS.

    Meter Processing is a utility to enter meter reads and apply the related charges to the Reservation Accounts.

    Information

    Meter Processing is a utility to enter meter reads and apply the related charges to the Reservation Accounts.

    Utility Meters enable users to record meter reads and charge for utilities on an Area.

    Meters can be setup with individual utility accounts for Electricity, Gas or Water with the option to create meter reading charges on the Accommodation Account.

    Meter Reads can be processed on mobile, tablet or desktop including printing or emailing Utility Statements.

    Meter Reads can be entered and saved to process at a later date.



    The Current Read Date cannot be a future date.

    Category, Area, Reservation & Rate are default System Labels that can be customised.



    Users will require Security Profile access to use this feature.

    Use

    1. Go to Utilities > Meter Processing > Utility Type in RMS.
    2. Select a View.
    3. Select a Category.
    4. Optional: Select a Rate Type.
    5. Select the 'Refresh' icon.
    6. Optional: Select the Current Read Date.
    7. Enter the Current Meter Read.
    8. Select the checkbox for an Area.
    9. Select the 'Process' icon.
    10. Select 'Yes' to confirm.



    The Advanced Filter options can be used to display a list of Areas matching the selected date range.

    The Current Read Date cannot be set as a future date.

    Changing the Current Read Date will give the option to apply the new date to all Areas on the Reading List.

    Use the 'Tab' key on the keyboard to quickly navigate to the next field when entering the Current Read on desktop.

    A Utility Statement can be printed or emailed after processing the meter read.

    The Meter Read and related charges will be created on the Reservation Account and the Previous Read will be updated to the date selected as the Current Read Date before processing.

    A Utility Statement can be printed or emailed after processing the meter read.
