    Merge Individual Guest Profiles on a Reservation

    Merging duplicated Guest Profiles using Reservation Smart Search in RMS.


    Steps Required

    1. Go to Reservations > Make Reservation in RMS.
    2. Place Cursor in an RMS Smart Search field.
    3. Enter Guest Details.
    4. Select 'Merge'.
    5. Select the duplicate Guest Profiles.
    6. Select 'Merge/Exit'.
    7. Verify the Guest Details.
    8. Select 'Yes' to proceed.
    9. Verify information in additional Warnings.
    10. Select 'Yes' to proceed.

    Warning

    Merging of Guest Profiles cannot be undone. 

    Only choose to proceed if confirmed the selected profiles are for the same person or persons.

    Fields with a '>' symbol indicate an RMS Smart Search field.

    Guest Profiles with an active account cannot be merged.

    RMS will use the contact information stored on the newest Guest Profile (highest Guest ID) and combine this information into the oldest Guest Profile (lowest Guest ID).

    Go to Reservations > Make Reservation in RMS.

    Place Cursor in an RMS Smart Search field.


    Enter Guest Details to begin the smart search.

    Select 'Merge' on the returned results.

    Select the duplicate Guest Profiles to be merged together.

    Select 'Merge/Exit'.

    Verify the Guest Details that will remain after the merge.

    Select 'Yes' to proceed if the guest details are as expected.

    Verify information in additional Warnings.

    Select 'Yes' to proceed.

    Warning

    Merging of Guest Profiles cannot be undone. 

    Only choose to proceed if certain the profiles selected to be merged are for the same person or persons.

    RMS will use the contact information stored on the newest Guest Profile (highest Guest ID) and combine this information into the oldest Guest Profile (lowest Guest ID).
