    Setup Compounding Taxes on Categories

    Setting up exclusive tax calculation options for Categories in RMS.


    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following.

    1. Go to Setup > Category/Area in RMS.
    2. Select an existing Category and choose 'Edit'.
    3. Navigate to the 'Accounting' tab.
    4. Select the required Taxes and choose the '>' button.
    5. Select the required Tax Method.
      1. Select the Based on Tax if using 'Based on Tax Amount'.
    6. Save/Exit.

    Applied taxes can be setup to calculate from the Charge Amount or a combination of the Charge Amount and specified number of related taxes or based off of an associated Tax Amount.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Setup > Category/Area in RMS.

    Select an existing Category and choose 'Edit'.

    Navigate to the 'Accounting' tab.

    Select the required Taxes and choose the '>' button.


    Select the required Tax Method.

    Select the Based on Tax if using 'Based on Tax Amount'.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.
