    Fallback Category & Rate Type Mapping

    Setup a backup Category & Rate Type mapping for channel connections in RMS.


    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following.

    1. Go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options in RMS.
    2. Navigate to the 'Category Setup' tab.
    3. Select a Default Category.
    4. Select a Default Rate Type.
    5. Save/Exit.

    Info

    Default Channel Configuration enables reservations that would otherwise fail to deliver due to incorrect mapping to be delivered into RMS using the selected Default Category & Rate Type.

    Warning

    Reservations delivered into the setup Default Category & Rate Type will require manual allocation to the booked Category & Rate Type by a user in RMS.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options in RMS.

    Navigate to the 'Category Setup' tab.

    Select a Default Category.

    Select a Default Rate Type.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

    The selected Category & Rate Type will be used for any reservation that would otherwise fail to deliver into RMS due to incomplete mapping.
