    Info

Selecting the Assertion Type as Federation ID in Step 7 requires each RMS User to be setup with their Federation ID in RMS prior to completing this configuration.

    Warning

RMS users will be unable to log into RMS 9+ without authentication from the Identity Provider once these settings have been saved in RMS.

    Important Information

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an XML-based open standard data format used for exchanging authentication and authorisation data between parties.

SAML Single Sign On (SSO) can be enabled in RMS providing additional user authentication whilst centralising the user logon process for multiple applications within a company's network.

Prior to setting up SSO in RMS properties will need to obtain a certificate from their Identity Provider (IdP).

Properties using a Federation ID for Assertion will need to set this up against each user in RMS prior to configuring SAML in the database.

    Warning

Activating SAML SSO in RMS prior to obtaining a valid certificate and testing the Login URL provided by their Issuer will prevent user access from RMS.

    Visual Guide

Go to Setup > Property Options > General Information in RMS.

    Navigate to the 'SSO' tab.

    Select the checkbox 'SAML Enabled'.

    Enter the Issuer.

    Select the Provider Certificate.

Enter the Login URL provided by the Issuer.

Optional: Enter the Logout URL provided by the Issuer.

Select the required SAML Username Type.

Select the required SAML Username Location.

    Enter the Attribute Name.

    Enter the Name ID Format.

Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

RMS Users will now only be able to access RMS 9+ after successful verification from the Identity Provider.
