    Check-in/Check-out

    Setup to use check-in & check-out for reservations in RMS.

    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following.

    1. Go to Setup > Property Options > General Information in RMS.
    2. Navigate to the 'Reservations' tab.
    3. Select the checkbox 'Use Check In/Out'.
    4. Optional: Select the checkbox 'Warn on Check In if Reservation Unconfirmed'.
    5. Save/Exit.
    6. Log out.

    Recording the arrival and departure of guests at the property using the Check-in/out feature provides accurate recording of guest movements as well as compliance with any legal or safety requirements.


    Selecting to warn users on check-in if the reservation is in 'Unconfirmed' status can be used as a reminder prompt if no deposit or payment has been taken from the guest prior to arrival. 


    The 'Status' field must be displayed under Reservation Details in Field Maintenance to use this feature.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Setup > Property Options > General Information in RMS.

    Navigate to the 'Reservations' tab.

    Select the checkbox 'Use Check In/Out'.

    Optional: Select the checkbox 'Warn on Check In if Reservation Unconfirmed'.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

    Log out of RMS to allow the database to update with the changes made.
