    Information

The RMS Environment accessed determines the software version used which can affect the features or functions available.

In addition to the publicly released Live version of RMS there are additional released later software versions that can be accessed prior to their full public release by switching to the Release Candidate (RC) or Beta environments.

The Release Candidate environment provides early access to the next version of software to be released to Live before it is publicly available.

The Beta environment is a pre-release environment where access to the newest features and improvements are available to customers before the full release cycle is completed.

The Beta environment is a pre-release edition of RMS which receives a higher frequency of version updates as the development cycle progresses.

Whilst RMS's internal testing processes aim to cover all aspects of the system prior to a release going ahead there may on occasion be an unexpected occurrence whilst operating within the Beta environment.

Beta provides diversified operational trials with both internal stakeholders and participating customers before a full public release.

Due to being a pre-release version and the environment that new versions graduate to when they pass through internal testing Beta is more frequently updated. Working in the Beta environment does require some flexibility and adaptability to software changes as RMS goes through the full development life cycle.

The benefits of operating in the Beta environment include early access to new features, early access to issue resolutions, the opportunity to participate in the development lifecycle and provide valuable feedback that helps shape the future of RMS features.
