Setup a Last Area Value Restriction

Setting up a Last Area Value Restriction using the Control Panel in RMS.

    Steps Required

    1. Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.
    2. Select the 'Control Panel'.
    3. Choose 'Add'.
    4. Select 'Last Area Value'.
    5. Select a Date Range.
    6. Enter an Amount.

Setting a Last Area Value will prevent the last available Area in the selected Category from being sold for a rate lower than the value entered.

This restriction sets a benchmark value for the final available area within the category, irrespective of applicable discounts or adjustments that occur as part of dynamic pricing.

    Visual Guide

Go to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.

    Select the 'Control Panel'.

Choose 'Add' to create a new restriction.

    Select 'Last Area Value'.

    Select a Date Range.

Enter an Amount to be used as the minimum Rate for the Last Area in the selected Categories.

Choose the applicable Properties & Categories that will use this value.

    Select the applicable Rate Types.

Select 'Save/Exit' to create the restriction using the options selected.

The last available Area in the selected Categories will not be sold for a rate value less than the amount entered on the selected date range.
