    Add Ons

    Setup Add Ons in RMS.

    Steps Required

    Have your System Administrator complete the following.

    1. Go to Setup > Category/Area in RMS.
    2. Select 'Add'.
    3. Enter the Category Short Description.
    4. Optional: Enter a Guest Description.
    5. Optional: Enter a Long Description.
    6. Select a General Ledger Account Code.
    7. Select the Class as 'Add On'.
    8. Optional: Select a Grouping.
    9. Select the Booked By option.
    10. Optional: Select the checkbox 'Include on Housekeepers Report'.
    11. Optional: Select an Icon.
    12. Save.
    13. Select the Category Access and choose 'Save/Exit'.
    14. Navigate to the 'Area' tab.
    15. Select 'Quick Add'.
    16. Enter the Add On Descriptions.
    17. Save/Exit.
    18. Repeat Steps 15-17 for all Add Ons.
    19. Log out of RMS.

    Add Ons are a type of Category available in RMS that can be used for ancillary items with their own availability including boats, car parks, bicycles, jet skis or rollaway beds.

    The Guest Description is an optional field that can be used to display a different Category Name to guests in Correspondence or on the RMS IBE and Guest Portal.

    Visual Guide

    Go to Setup > Category/Area in RMS.

    Select 'Add' to create a new Category.

    Enter the Category Short Description.

    Optional: Enter a Guest Description.

    Optional: Enter a Long Description.

    Select a General Ledger Account Code.

    Select the Class as 'Add Ons'.

    Optional: Select a Grouping.

    Select the Booked By option.

    Optional: Select the checkbox 'Include on Housekeepers Report'.

    Optional: Select an Icon to represent this Add On.

    Select 'Save' to store the changes made.

    Select the Category Access and choose 'Save/Exit'.

    Navigate to the 'Area' tab.

    Select 'Quick Add' to create multiple Add Ons.

    Enter the Add On Descriptions.

    Select 'Save/Exit' to store the changes made.

    Repeat Steps 15-17 for all Add Ons and choose 'Save/Exit'.

    Log out of RMS to allow the database to update with the changes made.

    These Add Ons will now be available for booking with an existing accommodation reservation in RMS.
